Learning Intention: ELAL - Writing

We have been working very hard on researching and learning about some of our amazing Canadian wildlife!
The first step in our research journey was to decide on which animal we wanted to learn more about. For each animal there were different information pages (mild and medium) that we could to choose to read from to gather information about our chosen animal. As we started researching, we used a planning page and sticky notes to record and organize the information we were collecting. We were specifically looking to learn more about the habitat, diet, life cycle, appearance, Indigenous cultural connections and any other interesting facts about our animal.
Once we had gathered information for each of the headings we began working on our brochure. We worked on adding important headings, transferring our jot notes into sentences as well as including detailed pictures that additionally demonstrated understanding as well as helped enhance our written work.
