Learning Intentions:
- Students examine roles, responsibilities, and self-regulation and their connections to self-understanding
I Can:
- investigate opportunities to participate in community roles
- explore how the roles and responsibilities of people contribute positively to community well-being
- explore ways communities work together to support self-regulation
This week it was really great to see our school community come together to cheer on our Canadian athletes at the 2026 Winter Olympics! We focused our learning around the importance of community and talked about different ways people within a community support each other.
- "We can support each other when we need help or when we are hurt."
- "When you invite other kids to play you are working together like a community."
- "Helping others be their best is important in a community because it's important to celebrate each other"
- "Being a good role model is important. We need to be good citizens of our community."
